Most business parks claim to be
accessible by road, rail and air. Many
are, but few can boast their own,
bespoke transport interchange.
The new £36.5 million transport
gateway means that Central Park
is served not just by its own dual
carriageway but also by a dedicated
stop as part of the latest extension
to Manchester’s Metrolink, on the
Oldham to Rochdale line. By the
time of its completion, an estimated
13 million additional journeys will be
made on the Metrolink each year,
and Central Park will be just one stop
– or five minutes – from Manchester
city centre.
This unique offer is supplemented by
a dedicated bus service for the park,
with buses running to and from the
city centre every 10 minutes.
It is just 1.5 miles from the city
centre and close to junction 21 of
the M60 and the Manchester inner
ring road, giving quick access to the
national road network including the
M6 and M62. Its location allows
for convenient connection whether
travelling north, south, east or west.
By train, Manchester is linked to all
major UK cities, with a West Coast
Main Line service every 30 minutes
to London.
And by air, Manchester Airport places
the world in convenient reach, with
cities such as Brussels, Frankfurt and
New York among its destinations.
Central Park is in the heart of New
East Manchester. One of the most
successful regeneration areas in the
country, its recent additions include
a new high school, two new primary
schools and 12,500 new homes.
And as well as access to the city and
transport links, it is on the doorstep of
the Medlock Valley and Phillips Park,
offering large swathes of open green
space for all to enjoy. |
